Cleanroom utilities: what gets checked at validation

Pharmaceutical work is judged on documentation as much as on the installation itself.

On a GMP project, finishing the installation is roughly half the job. The other half is being able to prove what was installed, in what material, welded by whom, and tested to what result.

What we document as we go

    • Material certificates traced to each run of pipe and each furniture item.
    • Welder qualifications and weld maps for every joint in a validated line.
    • Passivation and surface finish records where the specification calls for them.
    • Pressure and leak test results, signed and dated.
    • Panel joint sealing records and pressure-cascade readings for controlled environments.

Collecting that during the work costs very little. Reconstructing it afterwards is painful and sometimes impossible.
